On Friday the external Affairs Minster G.L. Peiris stated that the resolution was clear from the beginning. The proposals from US and other countries was being declined by Sri Lanka through the resolutions. The position of Sri Lanka was being maintained as if there was no connection over the resolution given. There would be a long term negative effects if Sri Lanka had got involved in the process of resolution.

Gaza violence kills 18 people

In the new air raids which was during Sunday in Gaza there was about three Palestine’s who were killed.The Israeli air raids and violence has left many of the hurt and many of them dead as the death toll increased. There was a militants who fired more rockets which were seen into the Jewish state where the violence took place. The four strikes was been cried out by the Israeli war planes during Sunday morning which killed three people. In the killing of the eight people there was a 60 year old person and a little school boy reports stated.

On Friday the bloodshed was being seen and during afternoon and the strike killed the leader of the PRC. The PRC(Popular Resistance Committee)leader had a cross border exchange which was against the military. The Gazans and the military exchange and the air strikes has left about 15 people killed and injured many. There was about 100 rockets which were being fired against Israel during the exchange between the two groups.

The deadliest attack among the 24 hour [period was the Gaza attack and in the period of three days. By the time of Sunday afternoon the toll of dead rise was being of about 18 dead and about 30 people injured. There has been calmness being called by the US and by the European Unionism both the sides.
