US heading to deadend in Pakistan

The US efforts to scuttle the terrorist network in Iraq-Afghanistan belt has not been succeeding despite best of efforts in the last ten years. The key reason is the double game being played by the dangerous Pakistani government. The Pakistani government is controlled by the army and it is hell bent on keeping Afghanistan situation fluid.
By doing so it would be able to force US to pump in billions of dollars of aid every year into Pakistan without any efforts from Pakistan. So to achieve this, the Pakistani army is using it’s arm , the Inter Services Intelligence unit, to help out the terrorist outfits to actually fight against the US and NATO forces in Afghanistan and Iraq.
So expect US to pull back out of Afghanistan, and wait for another WTO like event to happen and then carpet bomb Pakistan.
Alternatively, the US can straightaway put the lid of Pakistan and carpet bomb their entire border zone with Afghanistan. Either of the options could make life worse for Americans for decades to come. Let us see how Obama handles the problem.
His track record is not good in handling the local housing problem and the gulf of Mexico oil spill problem. So expecting him to handle this complicated issue successfully is too much asking, feel global experts.

Downloading through torrent

The search engine on the internet is a web program that can search for keywords given and pull out all the websites worldwide and list them. Kumo Search

Kumo is a Japanese term that can be used as a synonym for “heaven”, “sea spider”. It is also one of the new domains bought by Microsoft, and it appears that the domain kumo.com (notice the favicon) will host the new search engine.

Rumors say that the new engine will be launched during mid 2009, but some say that not only search will be on that domain, but other alternative services will be provided through other similar domains that Microsoft has recently acquired, including:

* Kumosearch.com
* Kumopics.com
* Kumowiki.com
* Kumogroups.com
* Kumotravel.com

According to TechCrunch, Microsoft’s strategy is to bring together all those under Live.com Microsoft applications that have to do with social networks and to help productivity. This portal will give access to services such as email, calendar, photos, groups, etc. Microsoft has confirmed the acquisition of the domain Kumo.com, but has not provided any details about his plans with it.

Tweetdeck Iphone client

The new twitter client for the Iphone, Tweetdeck is now live on the app store.

Tweetdeck is quite popular client based on Adobe Air, and is my favorite for its ease of use, friendly interface, speed and extra features like managing multiple accounts and the ability to form groups. It is very easy to segregate and monitor the tweets.

The new Iphone version takes all of these features in an amazing interface and it is very fast fast, so from now it becomes my default application to twitter on my iPhone. You can download the Tweetdeck directly from the Iphone App Store (it’s free!)

Bye bye Google, Welcome Zoho

A few days ago Google announced the closure of some of its services, including Google Notebook. Zoho, a provider of useful online tools, has taken the opportunity to relaunch his tool Zoho Notebook.

The Zoho notebook will have the ability to capture audio and video, with the help of a plugin (in beta) for Firefox and has the ability to import our notes from Google Notebook (which is exported to Atom format from Google Notebook ), so that the transition is as painless as possible.

I loved the opportunity to start using Zoho Notebook without creating a new account If you relied on Google Notebook and you’re looking for a good replacement, my second recommendation would be to try Zoho Notebook. Evernote is also a good option and i prefer it better.

As in any other search service, you just need to enter some terms related to the job you seek (position, city, etc.) and the system will give us job offers related to them by relevance and sorted in chronological order (most recent tenders always come first )

There is also the option to subscribe via RSS to the results of a specific search, so we are always abreast of new job offers in our fields. The service is pretty useful!

Avoid flash intros

I guess you all know what a flash intro is. It is an animation of about 30 seconds long (or more) filled with “spectacular” (and useless) effects with which the developer sought to demonstrate to your client These animations have no practical purpose and have so many disadvantages and should at present be almost obsolete. It is practically impossible to get a Web designer whose portfolio is not covered by 80% for sites with flash intros or developed completely in flash. In this post I will try to give a few good reasons why should flash intros, take my point of view, to pass into oblivion.

1.Your visitors do not like flash intros – Do you think your visitors will have 30 seconds or more of their lives watching animation or an animated message?

2.Google does not like Flash intros – Well, to tell the truth, Google does not like flash in general. When I say “do not like” I mean that Google can not even properly index the contents of a Flash animation

3. We have to wait till it loads! – This is the height, in many cases, Flash intros are so heavy that we have to wait another 15-20 seconds looking for a preloader that shows the animation is loading.

4.Consumption of resources – most of these intros include music or audio files, which not only reduces the loading speed of the animation, but also consumes more space and bandwidth

5.Consumption of man-hours – Do you have idea of the time it takes to develop a flash intro moderately attractive? So much time developing something that many people will hate.

Many people spend good amount of time for analyzing various aspects of different websites and usually feel the need to install many tools / extensions possible in our browser (Firefox of course), often sacrificing the screen space.

However, there are a bunch of SEO tools that will allow us to quickly get to their useful characteristics, while saving valuable space on your screen.

1. SEO Quake – Excellent extension which can be activated or deactivated with a single click on its icon in the status bar. From the icon we can access almost all functions, very useful indeed.

2. Search Status – shows instantly the PR and Alexa ranking of each page you visit. It is best that you can quickly access the robots.txt file and sitemap of the site on which you are, Archive.org pages, WhoIs information of the domain, the number of indexed pages of the site and the links to them ( Google and Yahoo)

3. SEOBook Rank Checker – Lets us quickly review the current rankings of the site you’re visiting for a given keyword. Must.

4. Domain Details – Provides various details about the domain we are visiting, including WhoIs, the type of server running on the Web etc

5. HTML Validator – A useful HTML validator which shows the website immediately if we are viewing in compliance with the W3C standard for encoding. If you click on the icon in the status bar, we can see more details about the errors on the page that prevents an effective validation of it.

6. SEO for Firefox – A pretty useful extension that allows us to improve search results in Google, Yahoo and Live. It also has a useful function that allows the color shading for no-follow links on a website. If you have installed SEO Quake you will have to select which of the two want to work overtime to show data in search results. The disadvantage is that the icon in the status bar only serves to activate or deactivate the extension. To modify the options, we must go through the options menu extensions.
