Jobless claims come down

The jobless claim is decreasing continuously. Last week, the claims fell less by 6000. The number of continuing claims have been the lowest this month since December 2008. That is an indication that many people have been place in some employment and the economy seems promising. The number of workers in US filing for jobless benefits has been low last week giving signs of improving labor market. Analysts from press and magazines had expected a decrease in jobless claims. The report was considered fairly uneventful by the labor department official.

The economists who had predicted payrolls accurately last year had predicted that there will be 200,000 jobs created this March. But the data does not match with the data of job cuts and layoffs. There has been rise in planned layoffs this March. The companies had announced 67,611 planned job cuts last month. It was more than the previous month of 42090. There has been decrease in layoffs in the first quarter.

News Corp to lose to Google

The decision of Murdoch to cut down all news from News Corp to Google network, could not be a prudent move, as it might lose more than Google in the process. With Google online news reaching over 90% of the global computer users, it is obvious that News Corp stays linked with Google.
On it’s part Google has to work out a amicable solution to the issue, as it needs the support of leading and specialized news agencies like News Corp on a continuous basis. So it would be good for both the companies to talk and sort out the differences on priority.

Wefollow directory

WeFollow is, I believe, the first web directory dedicated exclusively to users of Twitter. In this directory you can find links to the Twitter accounts of celebrities from the world of showbiz, music, popular news channels and famous characters from the world of the web. This was developed by Kevin Rose the founder of the social website Digg.

Joining is easy, just you need to send a reply from your account to @ wefollow in the following format:

@ wefollow #tag1 # tag02 # tag03

You can select up to 3 tags, which serve as categories which appear in the list of Twitter users.

Tweet at work!

If you can not stop twittering or at work, and still want to avoid trouble with your boss or supervisor, Spreadtweet is perfect for you.

Spreadtweet is an Adobe Air based application that allows to track the messages on Twitter, as well as update your status from a unique interface that mimics that of a Office spreadsheet. In this way, any time you will see that apparently you’re too busy editing an Excel spreadsheet where you’re actually updating your twitter timeline with some useless information. The application comes in 3 versions, for all tastes: Office OSX (Mac), Office 2003 and Office 2007.
