Play directly from the CD

I am not sure if this is just a concept design or whether it is in fact a product that is already on sale, but this is definitely one of the coolest and excellent gadgets. A nice MP3 player at the first sight, but when you open it, we have the ability to “insert” and play music directly from an audio CD.

This will be an awesome gadget for travelers and for any one who is lazy to rip all the music from the audio discs.

Recycled Mini mouse from Google

Google always works in favor of preservation of the planet. It has launched a new and tiny organic computer mouse made from recycled plastic and it is wireless with a resolution of 800dpi and a comfortable price tag of $
19.20. The colors available are red and blue and it includes two AAA batteries and instruction manual.

Google has also released colorful USB sticks (made from 100% recycled plastic, of course) for $ 22.5 each, with 1 GB of capacity.

Mass storage USB devices

Kingston has launched its new series of USB Data Traveler devices with 32GB and 64GB capacities (more than a storage capacity of Blu-ray) for $ 70 and $ 130 respectively. The data transfer speed is 30MB/s while reading and 8MB/s for writing. For instance, recording a movie in 8GB format Blu-ray in a Data Traveler USB will take approximately 16 minutes. Not bad, huh?

Back in the days a 64MB USB device was a big magic as it helped people to easily transfer the data. Now we have USB devices which have more capacity than the common hard disk drives!

Among the list of programs we have a special version of Open Office office suite, Sumatra PDF (PDF reader), FileZilla (FTP client), GIMP (image editor), 7Zip (file compressor), Firefox, Pidgin ( multiple messaging client), Halite (bit torrent client), VideoLAN (viewer videos) and many more.

After installing the application on your USB stick, you can connect it to any computer and run the program directly from the menu.

Skype for the Iphone

One of the most commented news during the week was the launch of the new version of Skype for the iPhone. Moments after the launch i decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised on seeing how good it is t and its excellent integration with the iPhone

There are some small problems though. When trying to make a test call from my phone, I received the error message. It happens that, owing to strong pressure from telephone companies, this version of Skype does not allow phone calls to other Skype users or regular telephone lines from 3G networks, but only from WiFi.

Unfortunately, this will slip away 50% of the true value of Skype, and for chat customers already have several other options. Sooner or later, of how things are going, VoIP calls will fully replace conventional phone calls!
